One Monthly Goal With ElmStreet Quilts!

August 7, 2018 by Cindy 3 Comments

Penguin Party Fabric Shopping

I am so glad I found the #ICYPOLESSAL SEW-A-LONG with SAID WITH LOVE.

It was so exciting to pick out the fabrics… the vest will be made from Penguin fabrics from my stash. But my heart sank a little when I figured out, to be able to finish my Penguin Part Quilt Top by the end of the sew-a-long, I would need to complete 6 or 7 Penguins this month! I am a pretty slow quilter. And the Sew-a-Long is “low key.” Technically I only need to complete a block a month. But I know myself, if I don’t finish on schedule, I may never finish it. I don’t want this to become another WIP/UFO.

So my goal for August is to complete 8 penguins! 2 fat-quarters worth.

I’m linking up with Elm Street Quilts and her One Monthly Goal group to keep me accountable 🙂

Reminder: Link-Up again at the end of the month in the One Monthly Goal Finish Party. August 26-31

So far, I just have 10 sets of eyes. Hoping to finish the 2nd 10, and the 20 beaks in the next 3 days (my “days off” from work).

I love connecting with other Quilters, it’s such a positive and encouraging community.
Here’s to a fun and sew-filled August!
