#IronChef Crumble Topping

Make a batch of crumble topping  now.

FREEZE.   You are now ready to make a fabulous crumble dessert  at a moments notice!

I love using crumble to top my Blueberry Muffins.

Thanks Alex Guarnaschelli ! (PS I’ve loved  you before  Chopped  was even a TV  show.  BUTTER is my favorite restaurant!)

Iron Chef Crumble Topping


Course: Dessert
Author: Alex Guarnaschelli
Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 11/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon dry ginger
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 11/2 sticks salted butter cold, cubed
Instructions
  1. Mix together:
  2. sugar, dark brown sugar flour, ginger, salt, cinnamon

  3. And work in with your hands:
  4. Cold, cubed butter

  5. Freeze topping and use as needed.
Recipe Notes

"I used about 1/3 of this to cover this crumble made from only one pint of lightly sweetened blueberries. I finished with zest and juice from 1 small lemon. Wow." Alex Guarnaschelli
