In My Life, I've Loved Them All

Snowdrops in Texas

No. I am not talking about the weather.

On Thursday, my mom and I watched an interesting segment on The Martha Stewart Show about Snowdrop Plants. They’re pretty little flowers that are one of the first to start growing after a long winter, even if there is still snow on the ground.

Well, it rarely snows/get super cold in Texas, and many plants that grow in North wouldn’t survive here. Plus the deer in the neighborhood tend to eat any living plant they can. So, imagine my delight when my parents returned from visiting a neighbor’s with this:

Snowdrops- Flower

My neighbor said a friend had brought her a Snowdrop plant from Louisiana a while back, and they’d been growing in her yard ever since. So it seems the WILL grow in the South, good to know! Snowdrops are small, delicate, and smell like honey. I’m sure the deer love that.
