Where can I even start? To say Heath was a friend from High School would be the understatement of the century. We became great friends Jr year, and he is still one of the most kind, genuine and good guys I will probably ever meet. He has always been there for me and has helped me through many hard times, and for that I am eternialy greatful. We both made the big jump across the country to go to DC for college, and it was definitely comforting to know I had a good friend close by. Heath continues to be a warm presence in my life, and I can’t think of anyone more deserving to find such happiness in life and love.

It was a fabulous wedding.
Laura, Monica and I cabbed over the Georgetown campus and made our way to St. William’s Chapel in Copley Hall. I thought we were a bit early and mentioned that maybe we should wait for Barnali and Steve to arrive… to which the user said OH Barnali is already here, I can seat you with her. I think that we were all suprized to be taken to the third row from the front! We must have just made the cut off from family section versus friend section, couldn’t have asked for anything better 😀 The ceremony was happy and touching. Somehow I had forgotten that I was one of the most emotional people in the world and TOTALLY forgot to stash any tissues in my bag! Luckily Monica had some to share… Between hearing the words of the ceremony, and seeing Heath’s mom starting to tear up, and being overwhelmed by happienss for my good friend, it was everything I could do to hold back the tears. I didn’t cry, completely anyways, just did a lot of blinking 😉
The reception was lovely as well. Started with cocktails and h’orderves out side the reception hall for about 1/2 and hour… just enough time for me to run to the University book store to buy some batteries for my digital camera 😯 It was also during this time that Monica and I made friends with Antonio, on of the bar tenders. He kept making us wonderful drinks all night long 🙂 Be nice to everyone, even the wait staff, and the good will come back around to you.
Inside, I was seated with Laura, Ben, Monica, Barnali, Steve, and 3 of Heath’s cousins. The night started with a champagne toast as we watched Thais and Heath dance for the 1st time as husband and wife.
The entrie event really did seem perfect. The dinner was excellent, the dance floor was full and the band played excellent songs, Heath and Thais made a point to come to every table to visit all of their guests, the cake was original and matched their book theme. IT was also wonderful to meet up with some of my closest MVHS budddies 😀
