Playing in the kitchen: Raspberry Summer Sensation

June 16, 2005 by Cindy Leave a Comment

I really want to try this dessert..

Raspberry Summer Sensation

…sadly, it requires freezer space which is in short supply for me at the moment. I also don’t have 12 people to serve just yet, but what a yummy idea! It is also low fat and is so easy, even the a novice chef could make it.

I have also decided that when I retire/get married and no longer have to work 40 hrs a week, I will join the competitive baking circuit! How much fun would that be! Inspiration has come from my Food Network addiction. I m too late to enter this year’s Pillsbury Bake Off, but that just gives me 2 years to perfect a winning recipe! I found another competition in the mean time… one where the only requirement is that you bake with Reynolds Parchment Paper! The wheels in my head, they are a turnin’ 🙂

UPDATE: I have officially tried this recipe. And it is rather unexciting. The frozen Cool Whip doesnt have much flavor, and just tastes frozen (i.e. too cold for your tongue to register anything beyond AHHH THIS IS COLD). And when I cut it the layers didnt all stick together.
