Free Lodging on your next trip to NYC…*

February 22, 2006 by Cindy Leave a Comment

… offer expires in about 20 days.

I case you haven’t heard yet, I’ve officially made the decision to move out of the tri-state area. And only a couple of friends have taken advantage of my free fold out couch and Martini night at The Mile Square Bar! So it goes…

I’ve been in NYC (technically Hoboken, right across the Hudson River) for almost 2 years, which I believe is just about enough to realize I am just not an east-coaster… you’d think 4 years at GW would have taught me that. But I did give it a try, and I’ll always have the experience to look back on. I need to live NYC now while I still have a nice bone in my body…

After making the pros and cons list of moving away… the only thing that is going to be hard I think is moving away from my buddy Zan, one of the coolest friends I could ask for. Crazy that you can meet someone your last semester of college and just bond so well… I think she knows me better than I know myself! But friendships like that don’t fade with distance… she can visit me and I can still come visit her wherever we may be… Zan, maybe we should just up and move to Italy ;o)

So I am packing up my things and moving to Texas for the time being… at least that way I’ll be able to save up some money and get some barings on what I want to do with myself… and I’ll actually be living close to my family for the 1st time in like 6 years… I do think it will all be for the best, never really saw myself as a big city girl, though I can hold my own!

Reading The Alchemist was a bit enlightening too… not to sound cheese, but it is a good story and tells you to take control of your life, don’t be afraid of change, and great things will come. A very good (and quick) read… mostly I took away “When you really want something, all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it.” And everything seems to be telling Me to get on out of here and try something new 🙂

So, if you are in the NYC area in the next few weeks, let me know!
*This offer only open to current friends and relatives
